Director of Girls' Events
Amanda Kammes currently serves as the Director of NXT Girls Lacrosse Events. She oversees 10 Girls Lacrosse events which are open to youth through high school aged girls. NXT Girls Lacrosse events operate in 5 different states and reach over 300 club teams annually. Additionally, Kammes oversees the Fall and Summer Showcase and Invitational which offer some of the most premier recruiting events in the Mid-Atlantic and accept 500 of the most elite HS players in the country yearly.
Outside of NXT, Kammes is currently the Abington High School Varsity Head Coach, taking over the reigns of the program in 2015. Most recently, she served as the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for UC-Davis’ Division I women’s lacrosse team from 2012-15. She oversaw defensive systems, player development, camps, clinics and academic support for the team. Under her watch, the 2015 Aggies posted the highest GPA in program history and upset a ranked opponent for the first time in program history when they defeated Stanford (14) in 2013.
Prior to joining UC-Davis, Kammes served as the defensive coordinator at Garnet Valley High School, where she helped the Jaguars win back-to-back state championships in 2011 and 2012. She helped produce multiple All-Americans and academic All-Americans during her tenure.
Kammes' path to the lacrosse field is a unique one. She played Division I basketball at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also served as an assistant coach from 08-09, after starting her career and spending two seasons at American University (05-08). A Chicago native, Kammes has also served as the Regional Director for NXT’s Cradle Lacrosse and Dribble Hoops and serves as the NXT Lacrosse Girls NXT 2020 team's head coach. A player's application will be considered complete once it includes BOTH a coach nomination and player application. Either a coach or player can initiate the process. Respective party will receive an e-mail invitation to complete the application once it has been started. Received applications and nominations will be available in My Dashboard once you are logged-in.
The pride of Showcase Lacrosse is our process. We collect both an Application as well as a Nomination from the athlete's high school or club coach. This allows us to learn about the player through their highlight film, in addition to gauging their abilities from the perspective of a coach. We then review all Application/Nominations, and send emails with instructions to register.
If the selections from the prior round of the Draft do not register before the dates below, their spot will no longer be guaranteed. This is a first-come, first-serve basis registration.
