What is Play Fast Camp?

  • Want to take your game a step further? Play Fast Training is NXT's fundamental-level camp for girls ages 5-14 who want to fine-tune their skills and elevate their game.
  • Our high-level professional coaches work directly with young players of all ability levels through the carefully-designed Play Fast curriculum, which features fast-paced, high-energy drills without having to wait in line forever.
  • Play Fast is designed to maximize quality reps, which is why there's an 8-to-1 player-to-coach ratio. 

Play Fast is perfect for:

  • Players from any team that want to keep their skills sharp during the summer season.
  • Play Fast is also the perfect continuation for Cradle Lacrosse alumni looking to expand their skill set.
  • Play Fast camp is all about having fun while playing the game of lacrosse. Spend the week with your lacrosse friends and teammates! 

Players should bring:

  • Their own stick, goggles, and mouth guard.
  • Bring sunscreen, a snack and water bottle.

Lunch is provided:

  • Campers at Cabrini Play Fast Camp do not need to pack a lunch - Cabrini Camp includes lunch each day for all campers in the delicious dining hall!  The cost for lunch is included in the price of camp.
    • The dining hall lunch is an all you can eat healthy buffet including the following:
      • Salad bar 
      • Deli sandwiches
      • Entree from grill station 
      • Handburgers/hotdogs
      • Pizza
      • Fountain beverages
      • Dessert

NXT Safety:

  • A certified Athletic Trainer will be onsite every day of camp.

  • Each player will receive a pinnie and camp give-aways!
  • We have awesome camp prizes, fastest shot competition and other fun games throughout the week.
  • Photos will be taken and posted on social media so the parents and players can follow along with the fun!

  • 9:00-9:30 Warm up and Stretch 
  • 9:30-9:35 Water Break - split into age/skill groups
  • 9:35-11:05 Stations
    • Proper stick mechanics for throwing and catching
    • Ground balls: the approach, the battle and maintaining possession
    • Shooting: techincal breakdown of feet, hips, arms and hands.
    • Defensive footwork and positioning
  • 11:05-11:35  Box Drill Competition
  • 11:35-12:20 Lunch
  • 12:20-12:40 Warm up and stretch
  • 12:40-12:45 Water break - split into teams
  • 12:45-1:45 Team practice 
  • 1:50-2:50 Controlled half-field scrimmaging
  • 2:50-3:00 Cool down and announcements
